The Warrior Clans have had many seasons of peace and good fortune. After a great war the clans are finally at peace and life goes on like nothings happened. But now a new threat presents itself. A new group of cats calling themselves the ShadeClan has brought themselves to the forest. They bring their warriors and their ancestors on to Starclan's territory. As soon as they arrived the ShadeClanners have wasted no time attacking the clans and ravaging them with foreign skills. With their special abilities of hiding themselves and mass numbers the only thing keeping the balance of power in this war are loners who are willing to sell their services to the Warrior Clans as mercenaries but the Clans aren't the only ones who are hiring outside cats. With their only hope of success relying on cat's who's alliances are unclear, how will the clans survive?
While the Clans are worrying about their own survival, another group of animals are plotting their downfall. Living in the heart of the forest's waterways a horde of otters have thrived for as long as anyone can imagine. Now with cats from all sides invading their home, they too wonder what will become of them....
